I need help with my hair! It's very fine, thin and flat, and I don't know what to do with it!
It's quite long, but I never style it (don't know how!), and always end up tying it back out of the way.
I think I have a squarish face, with quite a square hairline. I have had a fringe in the past, but as my hair is slightly wavy, I always ended up with a cow's lick.
When I was in my 20s, my hair was in quite good condition, and I used to just wear it down and swish it about! It seemed to sit better back then.
I'm now mid 40s and feel like I need a "proper" hairstyle or at least know what to do with my hair. I like it long but it seems silly if I just tie it back all the time because it no longer "sits" properly when down. I feel like I need to go shorter because my hair is flat and all the weight of it pulls it down, but I don't have a good jawline for short hair, my ears stick out and I wear glasses!
Anyone any advice? I feel like every time I go to the hairdresser they never give me a good cut or style that suits me. I might post a pic later if I'm feeling brave!
Also, how on earth do I style my hair?! I feel like I've missed an important lesson! I don't own anything other than a hairdryer, and I rarely use it, prefering to just tie my hair back. I need help! I want to feel like a proper grown up with proper hair! Whenever I (on the rare occasion I do!) go out I look silly with tied back hair - help!
