Hi all

I'm a skincare newbie at 34 and looking to totally up my game. I went for a "fire and ice" facial and the results were amazing, of course they recommended really pricey "is clinical" products which I didn't buy at the time.

I've come around to the idea of spending (a lot) more on my products, along these lines, what brands or products can you recommend?

I've been looking into la Roche posay and Elemis, are these even along the same lines?

Is dermalogica considered a "cosmeceutical"?

Help is needed!

  • Watch Dr Sam Buntings Blogs, she recommends lots of affordable products
  • LRP are amazing
  • elemis are not - they have very few active ingredients
  • dermologica is not cosemceutical

Join Dr Sams fb group " dr sam buntings skincare club" - we are super helpful and can help you build out an awesome and cheaper routine.

I personally would look into the ordinary and lrp products , depending on what you are trying to achieve an supplementing with skinseuticals / medik8 / neostrata / obagi / eltamd if you can.

Also tell me what they recommended for you and I can find you dupes :)

Sorry it's taken so long to reply, life = hectic as it is for us all I guess... off to google that FB page/vlog thanks for the recommendation!

Another vote for Dr Sam, it’s also worth having a look at Dr Dray on YouTube too, she’s an American dermatologist.

Looking forward to dr Sam

I got into fancy skincare when I discovered Caroline Hirons. Wouldn't really recommend her apart from the starter sheets for cleaning your face. She seems to rev so many ££££ things, some are good, others not so much

The ordinary is a cheap alternative

Ok fab! So thats another vote for The Ordinary then?!

Going to have a watch of Dr Sams FB for a while then make my dream list of products to "collect".

Any firm fav products from you wise ones?

So I have watched 3 or 4 of her videos this morning and sad to hear she recommends Back sleeping.. I'm a total tummy/side / face smushing sleeper... damn! Will have to change my habits
