What do we think?
My daughter has the pleated skirt and t shirt. It's quite nice.
Was shocked to see people on e bay asking £150.00 for the dress!!
Really shouldn't be allowed!!

Looked a bit shoddy

I think they’ve dumbed down the Morris prints recently.
It used to be available in Liberty fabrics (£££) and a few things like oilcloth.
I’m a fan of the Pomegranate design and when I saw bedding in Strawberry Thief designs I nearly passed out in excitement!
But I soon realized the quality was not the same. It’s now the sort of things you find in overpriced National Trust giftshops like coasters, toilet bags...
So now they’ve done a collaboration with H&M? I’ll certainly take a look but knowing the fabric quality has gone way down, I’d say the people offering £150 on eBay need to do their research.

I’d put the skirt up on eBay and see who bites for £100, OP!

I love william morris, but i dont know, the print seemed sort of 'tight' to me.

The fabric didnt appeal either, so i ended up looking at it ruefully but passing over.

Fabric quality and print quality and general design frumpiness of clothing was more Sound of Music curtains, if you ask me.

I speak as someone for whom a visit to the Red House NT Wm Morris house is a good day out.

I’ve looked at the site and there are a lot of polyester blends and cheap-looking logo prints on the sweatshirts.

Nah... not for me, thanks.
(But I am a 50yo fabric fanatic)Grin!

I like the trouser suit, but tbh you’d only be able to wear it a handful of times before you were sick of the sight of it.

Also H&M clothes designs are very simple IMO, like smocks, rectangle dresses and cocoon coats. Stuff a basic sewer could make (and probably does, in sweatshops abroad).

So the busy Morris fabric could well be hiding some bad workmanship.

I saw a woman modelling one of the dresses on instagram...i thought it looked like a shapeless sack....

sue51 · 07/10/2018 18:23

It's a beautiful print but I think using it on cheap fabric and a shapeless dress diminishes it.

Herja · 07/10/2018 18:25

I have a very beautiful William Morris umbrella I bought 10 years ago that's going strong. The clothes I'm not convinced by.

Jackietheduck · 07/10/2018 18:33

Istagram is full of people modeling WM H&M. I can’t see the appeal at all.
