Can anyone recommend a lovely, light day time moisturiser?

I'm currently using an Olay one, which is nice, but my skin's feeling a bit tight now the weather is changing.

I like something really thin and light, so a liquid not a cream, and as little scent as possible.

Budget up to about £20.

Thanks. :)

I use the olay sensitive one due to the massive dose of niacinamide and glycerin. I dilute with either eucerin 5% urea or one drop of grape seed oil depending on how dry I am.

Strongly recommend Aveeno. It's very light but deeply moisturizing .

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 07/10/2018 10:15

Thanks.

I love Aveeno for body, but have never seen a face cream.

Will look out for the Olay Sensitive. I've got a Clarins oil, which I really like.

I get an Australian brand called Sukin. Less than £10 and in a pump bottle. Ocado sell them, but I haven't seen it anywhere else (even Waitrose).

It's lovely and light and very quick to absorb.

Okay Total Effects in the fragrance free option would be worth trying (Savers is the best place to get it, it's about £8.99 in there). It was a staple for me until they put more vitamins in it and now I can't use it.

If you're happy to spend a bit more, REN evercalm global day cream is really lovely. I think full price it's about £30 but might be worth looking for on eBay or when M&S does 20% off

I'd also recommend Aveeno, you can just use the normal stuff you use on the body, either the lotion or cream are good.

Good luck, it's so hard finding products that suit.

frugalkitty · 07/10/2018 11:07

Olay, not Okay!!! Sorry!

Dunnock91 · 07/10/2018 11:09

I use a men's product called Bulldog, it's not got and fragrance and is really light, I find men's products can sometimes be more moisturizing and often not as expensive.

I'm using Simple Water Boost gel cream at the moment and I really like it.

itchybumhole · 07/10/2018 11:13

Caudalie Vinosource in the pink tube. Best moisturiser I've ever used. My skins drinks it up and goes nice and plump, it smells lovely and doesn't leave a greasy film on my face. Makeup sits great on top of it.

Processedpea · 07/10/2018 11:15

i like the liz earle skin repair

OxanaVorontsova · 07/10/2018 11:17

Vichy Aqualia is very light and hydrating

This is a bit over budget.
I got a sample in a beauty box but I’m now a convert and will be buying it when my current moisturiser runs out.
It’s lovely and lightweight, non-greasy and smells really fresh.
If £25 is a bit pricey ASOS (and some other places do 30mls for £15.

Avene Hydrance Light is nice, unscented and has spf

UseditUpandWoreitOut · 07/10/2018 11:34

I use Nivea soft.

Buggerbrexit · 07/10/2018 11:37

I use the ordinary- super light and super cheap!

AtrociousCircumstance · 07/10/2018 11:40

Avene rich hydrating cream - it’s amazing. Has good sunblock built in, is very moisturising without being greasy or too much.

You can get it in light as well as rich but the rich is just right for my combination skin.

AtrociousCircumstance · 07/10/2018 11:40

Also it’s nice and liquid and absorbs well. Great under make up.

user1467718508 · 07/10/2018 12:02

Was going to recommend the same as @TigerJae

A little goes a long way too Grin

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 07/10/2018 15:51

Thanks all.

I've tried the Avene one before, but didn't love it. I fell out with Origins and vowed never to buy anything there again! Have used the Nivea before and quite liked it.

Nothing is leaping out at me yet so I'll keep looking. If it came in a glass bottle instead of plastic, that would be even better!

The Bravura Azulene moisturiser is nice, also comes in a glass jar

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 07/10/2018 21:20

Australian brand called Sukin
It's in Boots - special offer about 1/3 rd off.

I use Superdrug Optimum (the grey one 40+ , I'm 52 but I don't like cream in jars for day time) .

PastaRedWine · 07/10/2018 21:41

@70isaLimitNotaTarget 8 haven't been in a Boots in at least a decade as I have not been living in the UK, which would explain that 🙈

Ocado often have it on a third off too, so I guess they price match.

Glad boots sell it though: I need options! I am also hoping I might find travel sized ones that aren't in pump bottles!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 08/10/2018 18:40

Ooh I was looking at the Sukin stuff in town yesterday. I might give that a go.
