Should I buy this jumper, or are they everywhere this year?

I'm not sure whether I love, or hate this jumper. Not sure about the colours, and the fact jumpers in this style seem to be everywhere this year. Does anyone have any stripy jumper recommendations in some pretty colours, or should I just get this one? Smile

Well, depends on your shape. If you're slim around the hips it'd be fine, however if not it'd be very unflattering!

ihatethecold · 06/10/2018 17:02

I like it

dudsville · 06/10/2018 17:06

I'd say not to based on your love hate notion of it!

I'm an 8-10, so I think I'd get the Small, as I read on a review of a different jumper (same style) that they come up quite big. Hopefully it will look oversized instead of too big?! I'm a bit bigger at the hips, but if is the jumper is oversized, it will skim past them, I guess it depends on the length.

Sorry but id say it looks cheap quality in the photo, so unless it's much better in real life, it'll probably look a bit shit after a few washes.

Yes, I am dubious about the material as well...however, I'm having real trouble finding a nice jumper made out of good material this year. I looked in Joules, really liked the look of a cable knit one, looked so cosy and expensive online....checked the fabric content, it was mostly acrylic with a bit of polyamide and polyester to add into the mix.

I'm shocked that they were charging so much for it! Can't believe people would pay £60+ for a jumper like that. Any recommendations for a company that do mostly wool/better quality material jumpers? Don't mind paying a bit more Smile

Don't bother - I got a chenille balloon sleeve Next jumper last Christmas and the sleeves don't fit into any coats (too bulky), so it is useless in winter if you have to go out of doors ever!

Woovovers

I'm not keen on the shape or quality of Next jumpers - feel really boxy and overpriced for what they are.

I love this style though, and I've bought a few from ASOS this autumn. The bright stripy one just makes me happy and I always get compliments, and the selfridges one is gorgeous and fits really well.

Should I buy this jumper, or are they everywhere this year?

My office is crawling with people wearing colour blocked sweaters. They're lovely but a bit overdone this season.

Same issue with leopard print anything.

VictoriaVictoria · 06/10/2018 17:33

Oh dear, that doesn't sound too great, getting a jumper and the sleeves not being able to fit into a winter coat !

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll have a look over on Woolovers...and I love the Miss Selfridge one you posted! Got a great jumper off of ASOS last year actually...might have to scroll through their pages!

Perfect for a CBeebies presenter.
And if that’s the look you’re going for, then definitely buy!

VictoriaVictoria · 06/10/2018 17:42

I love pinafore dresses and dungarees and bright colours so perhaps I do have the style of a CBeebies presenter Grin

It's lovely in real-life, lovely and snug. Looks nice with leather leggings

IMR Floella Benjamin wore one in 1982. It matched Hamble's.
