I threw these in the shopping trolley thinking they will last 10 mins as they are very cheap. They come with extra padding and they are so comfortable. They have a rating of 5 stars. I wear mine with everything and I get compliments.

I am no judge of what is stylish, but these are very comfortable: M+S footglove loafer

PeggyIsInTheNarrative · 06/10/2018 13:57

Not sure of your budget as these aren’t cheap but Fly London soles are very comfy for work. Anything here?

Fly London are very comfortable. Clarks Un Loop are not stylish, but incredibly comfortable.

buscaution · 06/10/2018 14:02

I wear Doc Martens all the time, Defoe everything. Gentle breaking in an hour or so a day in the house, complete with competed on the heels, comfy in no time

LivininaBox · 06/10/2018 14:05

If you are on your feet all day I would avoid ballet pump style shoes, you need something supportive. What about ankle boots?

These are well reviewed on the Clarks website

WTFIsAGleepglorp · 06/10/2018 14:12

Skechers do so comfy all black shoes

NotExactlyHappyToHelp · 06/10/2018 15:56

In my experience no. It’s comfy and an affront to the eyes or nothing.

These are hideous but the most comfortable things in the world. Mine are 7 years old and still going strong.

There’s 20% off them at the moment.

TantricTwist · 06/10/2018 16:20

I have a pair of black Ms Softee by Aerosoles that I bought from QVC a couple of years ago and were recommended by my neighbour.

They are very comfortable and look like normal work shoes.

gelert5619 · 06/10/2018 16:38

On my feet all day at work. Find Hamble Oak by Clarks are the only shoes to look good and be very supportive. Not cheap but worth it.

HMC2000 · 06/10/2018 16:38

I've got these clarks ones, and they're great. They're smart, andlook fine with skirts and dresses, but they're very comfy too. (And I've got plantar fasciitis and a dodgy back!) www.clarks.co.uk/c/Un-Blush-Lo/p/26135730

hendricksy · 06/10/2018 16:51

Ah thank you all , I appreciate you trying . I don't like fly soles and don't think I'm allowed boots . The Clarks and marks ones are just so ugly . I'm sorry to be so fussy but just can't bear to spend £50 on shoes I hate and then have to wear 😬... I know I'm hard to please .

If you have a Jones shoe shop go in and try on some of their ballet flats. I had a navy suede pair with a bow and they were beautifully cut. Hard to see from a picture on a website - just looked much prettier than the asda type cheapo ballet flats. They did however take a while to wear in as they're decent leather but once they were omg I wore them until they fell apart.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 06/10/2018 17:03

I second @Leobynature in the suggestion of the Asda ballets... I'm on my feet all day at work and I live in and love these shoes

NotExactlyHappyToHelp · 06/10/2018 17:04

They are very very ugly. I wear a hideous uniform so my motto for work shoes is ‘You can’t polish a turd.’

Have you had any joy with insoles? Might be worth a go.

These are in their comfy section , do you think they will be ? 😬😬

bedtimestories · 06/10/2018 17:26

I think they'll be comfy to stand in, but as a previous poster said because there isn't much support your feet may end up aching

Ariela · 06/10/2018 17:50

These: So comfy!
Very supportive, very comfortable

CountFosco · 06/10/2018 18:17

Dune do widefit flats which I find very comfy. Or Fitflop do some loafers that aren't too hideous. If you're on your feet all day I'd go for brogue type shoes and the Clarks ones are probably the best quality in your price range (and have a leather lining which a lot of so called leather shoes don't have).

Kaykay06 · 06/10/2018 18:31

What’s comfy for one won’t be for others, I have terrible feet and on my feet 12 hour shifts so needed decent shoes and quite honestly i didn’t care what they looked like as long as I was comfy who is looking at me at work anyway my uniform was clean and neat as it could be and shoes practical, and wearable for long periods.

I had Clark’s shoes for years, then sketchers things which I hated and now wear trainers so just shop around read reviews and try loads on it is hard to spend loads and they not be right I’ve been there.

PastaRedWine · 06/10/2018 18:42

I have these ballet shoes in black www.josefseibelandfriends.co.uk/product.aspx?gender=womens&type=casual%20shoes&model=pippa%2051

They are hands down the most comfortable pair of shoes my feet have ever been in.

I think the ballet flats don't look bad at all! Some of their others do, frankly.
