Barcelona mini break next week...what to pack??

Okay I'm off to Barcelona next week from Friday to Monday.

I really regret this decision as I'm normally a "pack EVERYTHING and decide what to wear when I get there" type of girl, but I decided to just take hand luggage instead of a checked in 20kg bag. So this means I have to pack lightly and carefully. I've upgraded so I can take 2 X 10kg bags. One of which will go in the hold (and will probably just hold all my toilettries!)

I've looked at the weather for Friday and it looks like it will be in the low to mid 20s. This has surprised me as I expected Autumnal weather.

As I've already been away in July, I have loads of holiday type summer clothes but I'm stumped as to what to pack for this trip especially during the day as my daytime summer wardrobe consists of beach cover ups and floaty summer dresses.

We plan to do lots of sightseeing, cocktails bars and shopping.

Help me decide what to pack!

do you have any loose trousers? they are good with a short sleeved t shirt

I'm not far from Barcelona and most of the locals are in their jeans by now. I was walking round a town nearby in a summery dress feeling very conspicuous.

So not too much floaty summer stuff IMO

Have a brilliant time

I'm also going to Barcelona next Friday, till Tuesday. To be honest I'm going to look at the weather forecast on Wednesday and decide then! I nearly always take hand luggage only, and it's amazing how much you can fit into a small space when pushed.

Most likely I'll just be packing the same stuff I'm wearing right now- dresses with tights and a blazer, jeans and tops and very comfy shoes (I tend to wear brogues/ ankle boots). I'd travel in jeans/ heaviest shoes, and pack maybe 3-4 dresses and a couple of tops.

If the weather looks unusually warm I may take a pair sandals, and most of my dresses can be worn without tights. Hope you have a great time- I can't wait!
