Dress for a funeral

My grandads funeral is this coming Wednesday and has been arranged fairly quickly. I’m a size 8 and 22 years olds.

Can anyone help me find a dress which would be appropriate but not frumpy I guess.

Do you have anything black? A dark coat over a black top and black skirt, dark tights and black skirt will look smart and might be put together from your existing wardrobe. Sorry about your loss.

Asda have some nice little Peter pan collar dresses, plain or check pattern, they are about 16 pounds. You can view them online.

For my nanas funeral I wore a short black lacy dress by Blue Vanilla at New Look. It was £28 I think. I wore it with black suede slouchy knee high boots & black opaques, & a black cardigan.

I wanted to wear an outfit that my nan would've liked, she thought I suited shorter dresses.

I was 40 & a size 12-14. You are only 22 & a smaller size so you could probably wear anything.
