Easy messy bun - how do you do it??

Just that really!

1. put hair into pony tail

1. grab another hair band

1. grab end of ponytail. wrap ponytail around the hairband holding it

1. wrap other hair band round the bun, as if tying a ponytail

1. use bobby pins for any huge sticking out bits of hair!

That's exactly my method too.

Take a kid's sock and chop the toe part off. Do a high ponytail with a good hair elastic. Put the end of the ponytail through the sock 'tube' then roll the sock (and hair) up all the way to the top of the ponytail... Pin in place if necessary.

I don't start with a tied ponytail as it is too neat across my head then...
I tip my head upside down, gather hair into place where i want the bun, twist up, still upside down right to the tip. Stand up straight again and twist around the base while holding the base. Fix with a band. I also use clips to secure the whole thing as I have very long hair. Not pins, but those little clips with pointy teeth (a bit like a Venus fly trap?!) can't think how to describe them!

Lift my hair into one hand, twist, wrap with a bobble. Sometimes put a scrunchie in.

I literally just screw all my hair up into a ball and then tie it in place. Messier the better.

Loving the sock method- must try!

Shake my head backwards, pull hair up to where I want the bum, twist loosely, secure with bobble, one of the twisty plastic ones. Done. My hair is the curlier end of wavy though so lends itself to messy looks!

I have super fine hair so I use a lot of texture spray in mine. So wash, blast it dry, then without brushing give it a good all over spray with texture spray, and then gather it into a ponytail, twist it and secure it with one of those twisty telephone cable hair bands. It's very quick and stays put all day

Depends on your hair type - mine is quite fine so I don’t have much to wrap so I pull hair into a high pony but don’t pull it all the way through on the last turn (so I’m left with a loop of hair) then I spread the ‘loop’ out and pin it down - looks like lots of hair but is actually mainly air
