Hi everyone, my birthday is coming on and I'd quite like to treat myself to a new purse, as the one I've got is looking bulky and horrible. Where should I look? Been looking online for leather ladies purses but nothing takes my fancy.... Help please!

Budget? What kind of style do you like? A lot will depend on your budget though, no point in us recommending a £100 purse if you want to spend a tenner.

I buy my purses from TK Maxx normally, decide what I want then look for it.

My budget would be £30 to £50 maximum, would feel guilty spending more on a purse for myself, to be honest

Don't feel guilty, purses are a well used item and work hard what with being used daily.
I'd take a look at TK Maxx and actually M&S I've noticed some decent bags and purses there this season.

For something a bit designer, Brand Alley is always worth a look.

My last decent one was a Fossil one, but it's long had it's day. I sometime get cheap ones from Primark or Accessorize but I'm on the lookout for a good quality one again. I used to think Debenhams did good purses but when I looked today and a few months ago I was disappointed.

Fossil have a sale on -not sure what's left but I got 2lovely big purses last week down from £99 to £15, plain brown & navy

I have an M&S coral pink (so I can find it in the pits of my black handbag) non-leather (essential for me) RFID (to protect my plastic) purse. IIRC about £15 (in sale)

Can’t stand their bags but I recently bought a Kipling purse which is lightweight and has exactly the right amount of compartments etc for me
I’ve always had leather before and it just adds weight to my already heavy handbag

Above what you'd like to spend, but I absolutely LOVE my Michael Kors purse. It was a present from DH for my birthday earlier on in the year. Not a surprise, he was under strict instructions

It does sound a lot, but when it's something you use every day I think it's worth it.

I did have a cath kidston until i got my michael kors ,it was hard wearing had it for a few years and still looked like new x

Thank you :), I got the light pink color. It has rose gold colored metal bits and looks very posh. She loved it.

Modalu has nice purses too, i've just got a pippa one
