Barbour jacket sizing

Going to buy a barbour quilted jacket... the size chart looks very generous, ie a size 12 says bust 40inches, waist 35inches 🤨

Should I size down or is it true to size in your experience? Thanks!

I have a barbour quilted jacket and I think the sizing is very generous. Far more so than another quilted jacket I have from Joules. I think I would size down.

Oh no how confusing 😂 I guess I will maybe order 2 sizes and return one. The size guide does look extremely generous.

They're sized for a jumper underneath and being active, such as riding, so not skin tight.

Maybe just mine then. Although disclaimer I'm a size 8 but my boobs are huge. I couldn't fasten it at the top but maybe this is a boob issue more than a sizing issue

I've bought both sizes as I would like to wear a jumper underneath but prefer it to be fitted. Hopefully one of them is just right!
