Coat too tight on shoulders - alterations?

I bought a beautiful coat in an M, not thinking it would be tight on the shoulders (FFS i am a size 10-12) and yet, it is too small. Unfortunately it was a sale item, and the Ls have sold out. I really wanted a nice waterproof for the nursery then work run, to get me to the office dry but not looking like I have come in from milking the cows.

Excuse the link to Gwenyth's stupid website, but sweaty Betty have sold out.

Does anyone think it'd be at all possible to enlarge this jacket or is it just too complicated with all the layers?

I'm looking at the last picture of the model putting the hood up and the strain lines on the back yoke you can see - I think that's a rubbish cut to be honest. And it's very unlikely there's enough spare fabric in the seams to enlarge it. Can you get your money back?

Hi @DameFanny thank you, I do think it's a bit of a strange cut to be fair.

I can return it but as it was £60 odd reduced from £300 odd it kind of pains me to lose such a bargain! Maybe I'll eBay it and make a profit.. which I can spend on a better fitting coat.

eBay sounds like a good idea - good luck!
