Can an apple ever wear a skirt?

Please don't say pencil skirt as I don't have the famously small bum and skinny thighs of a slim apple either.

I am talking short middle aged size 14 apple here, apple due to menopause.

Please help! I think I basically need a stretchy waistband.

Try a jersey skirt - ruched maybe? I think (hope!) I get away with a fairly bodycon skirt if I've then got a looser jumper on top that hides my actual tummy

I just gave up on skirts completely and only wear trousers and shorts. It's much less depressing than trying them on to realise I look awful.

I’m wearing flippy hem skirts. They feel nice!

Now you see I'm an apple but wondering if I can get away with a Hush Marina skirt, Sykes with a slouchy jumper like this

I gave up on skirts as an apple, but I am back Into dresses, i love the shirt dresses that are around this season, and I have a slinky one that's ruched from one side of the neck to the opposite side on the knee which i get a lot of compliments on.

I used to wear tube skirts as a thinner apple now my belly is too big.

Forget skirts and investigate dresses. Far easier to wear, and look much better.

What about an a-line skirt? I find some of the more structured ones hide my stomach.
