Does a wavy 'lob' with a fringe look dated?

Would love a blunt cut side parted lob but I look absolutely hideous without a fringe (big forehead, quite angular face). The fringe softens everything and just suits my face.

I also hate wearing my hair down and straight even though it's thick and healthy as feel it just hangs there and looks a bit lego-head.

Usually style it like this (when I can be arsed) and wear in messy but 'done' bun the rest of the time. Just worry it looks a bit more old-fashioned than the fringe-less cuts?

I don't think it looks dated.

If it suits your face shape then keep it.

Maybe ask your hairdresser what they can do to thin it out a little bit so you're not putting it in a bun all the time and make it easier to wear down. If it feels a bit Lego head then perhaps some longer layers in it to give it a bit more shape.

I have my hair similar to this, I also need a fringe. I like it, looks a bit different, don’t think it looks dated.

Wow, you look like a model - not dated ar all - really really nice.

Oh Christ, that's not me in the photo! Wish it was 😂 Just used that photo to show how I usually style my hair.

Have an appointment tomorrow. Am definitely going to ask for layers/something to break up the length and give me more texture.

Will report back. Thanks all.

I love it and wish I could get away with it without looking like a hairy potato, but I have thin hair and a round face. I would totally do it if I could.
