Best mini break alone

I rarely ever have time without work or my child. Weirdly I've got about 4 days coming up and I want to make the best of it. I looked into flying to Dubai but the flights are on the wrong day so I want to treat myself to something really special UK based. I need to be able to get there by public transport so was thinking London or Cambridge. I don't mine booking a short taxi if a good place is rural but still accessible by public transport most of the way.

So.... recommendations for a lovely few days away alone eg spa break etc....

Ragdale Hall. Gorgeous spa

Ragdale Hall in Leicestershire is great but not sure about public transport but I think it's covered on their website.

Ragdale is amazing. It’s probably 15 minutes from Melton Mowbray train station in a taxi.

What about a cookery school or a painting holiday?

TinselAngel · 02/10/2018 22:42

Definitely Ragdale. Easy to do by train and a short taxi ride.

Oh also I've been to Ragdale a few times on my own, and it's a great place for a solo break.

It might not be for everyone but I went on a yoga retreat. It was bliss!

Ragdale is a brilliant choice. I've been there with a friend several times and by myself on other occasions. Just enjoy, and the trio of wines is particularly good value.
