Anyone ordered from Romwe?

UatuTheWatcher · 02/10/2018 18:20

Has anyone ever ordered anything from Romwe? What was the quality like?

My 16 year old is looking to buy some new clothes with her birthday money and I'm worried that the clothes are to cheap to be true and she'd be wasting her money.

Many thanks

No but apparently they come up very very small.

UatuTheWatcher · 02/10/2018 20:45

Thanks for the heads up @frogface

Both my daughters have bought from them. T shirts haven't been too bad, but some jersey sun dresses ended up with very uneven hems after washing.

RJnomore1 · 02/10/2018 20:52

My 14 year old is desperate to buy from them but the trustpilot reviews aren't good, are they safe then?

UatuTheWatcher · 02/10/2018 22:14

Didn’t think about Trust Pilot, will tell her check.

Yes I have. It was all awful and it's impossible to send back. Never again.

UatuTheWatcher · 04/10/2018 22:53

Thanks @Miladymilord I've let her know but at the moment she is determined to order from them.

My niece (16) did. Quality was really poor and the sizing was terrible. She's a 6-8 and the clothes were tiny. I wouldn't recommend it to your DD to be honest.

MargoLovebutter · 05/10/2018 11:28

My DD did and the stuff was cheap and not very cheerful and the returns were a massive PITA, as I think they had to go back to Belgium or somewhere outside of the UK. I was not impressed!

GummyGoddess · 05/10/2018 11:31

I have and I thought it was OK, clearly I'm in the minority.

DiveBombingSeagull · 05/10/2018 14:52

Nearly 15yo DD has. She was happy with it but as PP said quality not great and sizing small.

If she wants cheap I would suggest everything5pounds

I use them often and a lot of items have helpful reviews on. Also they tell you what size the model is and what size she is wearing

I average buying 10-12 items each time and usually send back maybe 3 (easy & UK based)

Some stuff is cheap, most is good quality and I had a dress once with a £70 ASOS tag on!

UatuTheWatcher · 06/10/2018 00:51

Thank you for all the feedback and the Everything5pounds recommendation. I will try and persuade her not to buy but apparently mother doesn't always know best.

Some stuff is alright, but it's a lottery. Sizing is weird as mentioned. A lot of the pictures on the site are lifted from other places and the items are 'recreated' with cheaper fabrics etc. Fine for a bit of fun but I wouldn't spend lots there. DD has had more success with Zaful, some lovely summer stuff, but took an age to arrive. What about websites like boohoo, Pretty Little Thing etc? Always have discounts on.

JasperCopeland · 06/10/2018 10:58

I bought a sleeveless jacket thing some years ago in size large. I couldn't work out what it was supposed to be when I received it. It's on a teddy bear now.

YouOKHun · 07/10/2018 22:29

Dreadful! The sizing wasn’t just small it was also inconsistent so two things labelled the same size were completely different and weird proportions. Sending stuff back was so impossible that in the end I had to put the whole order in recycling.
