Going out this weekend and I feel grumpy having not exercised for a few months due to injury. I am a size 16 with red hair, 5 foot 7 and don't like showing my arms. I have a good friend's party and want to make an effort. What can I buy up to £100, via Mailorder with free returns if they don't fit? I need inspiration!

I don't have any links but I always think a dark jade green looks fabulous of ladies with red hair.

CheeseEloise1 · 02/10/2018 11:19

Thanks Hot. I like the Oasis red one but don't know if I'm daring enough to wear animal print. The others are too short and I can't see myself wearing the long one with boots.
I want to wear something that will make me feel good about myself and avoid anything too sacky.

I'm not sure if any of those dresses would suit me - I'm 46. Maybe a nice top and trousers? Where can I find something flattering?

I love this trying to help but I realise I must pick things I would wear mostly. I'm 40 this year 😂

Trying to pick nice pieces you can combine into an outfit.

Note I picked the dresses because t wrap style is exceptionally flattering. I'm size 14 to 16

If going sort of casual I always find a kind of dressy shirt. With either jeans or black coated (leather look) jeans and heels, sandals or boots depending on the weather. Dress it up With a bit of jewellery a nice bag and a nice hair do. Comfy aswell because I hate spending the whole night fiddling with my clothes.

Hippychick78 · 03/10/2018 20:24

I would probably go skinny jeans/or wide leg (I don't suit high waist but I have a tummy), a vest top with a bit of sparkle and a loose open shirt so you'd arms are covered. Or a lovely long sleeve top. That's my feel covered up but look good outfit... With DM boots or glitter shoes if I'm really going all out, always a leather jacket.
