I have a couple of pairs of NB which I love but I'm after a super comfy, sporty-type, super trendy ones to wear with dresses etc

I know trainer fashions change quickly and I don't want to look old-hat!

Thanks

Metallic Supergas are great with dresses, and I love Nike internationalists too.

ShoppingOnesSelfFit · 01/10/2018 12:20

I like both of those but I have Converse and NB that are similar to the Nike ones - I want something with a very spongy, comfy sole and more sporty looking?

Thanks!

I have black velvet Nike Air Force 1s.
They have had a lot of love from people (from 20 something’s in my family to 50 year old work colleagues) so if you want trendy, these are it!
Also insanely comfortable, you might have to downsize by 0.5, as they’re quite a generous fit.

I've got high top suede air force 1s.

I like Ash trainers and now have 2 pairs of the Majestic. They are expensive (about £175 full price, but ive always bought in sales for about £75 ) , leather and super comfy. I have a silver pair (with stars) and have just bought another pair (black with stars) for £65 on Brand Alley .

Ash do nice High tops also

ShoppingOnesSelfFit · 01/10/2018 21:11

I had ash and they didn't fit me very well, I have quite fat feet! (Only a size 3)

What about Nike Air Max? I love the Air force 1 but I can't find the colour I want (black with white tick)

I have silver Supergas that work well with dresses. Also have my new favourites - Onitsuka Tigers!

Would fitflops do? I find them so comfy, they've got a raised memory foam sole so I can walk for miles.

I've gone completely 90s and got myself a pair of FILA Disruptors II. So ugly they're pretty.

A 21 old graduate trainee in my office swooned over them. I took it as a sign that I've still got it. Alternatively it could mean I'm a mutton dressed as lamb Grin

They are pillow soft and give me good two inches extra. I'm in love.

But I did look into Nike Air Max 90 and 97 but FILA won me over.

I have mustard suede Air Force 1s. They are everything!

Almostthere15 · 01/10/2018 22:01

I have air force ones too. They're sort of nude and go with everything. I love them, and our very trendy early twenties receptionist both complimented me and seemed vaguely surprised when I popped I on my day off because "they're pretty cool". She's not known for enthusiasm so that's high praise!

Fairylea · 01/10/2018 22:08

The Fila ones above are THE trendy ones this season.

Superga and New balance are lovely but my 15 year old dd wouldn’t be seen dead in them- she says they scream “mum”.

Of course that only matters if you care about being trendy. I am 38 and care not a jot Grin I love my Supergas. So comfy.

Guardup · 01/10/2018 22:10

I like airs and grace for comfy trainers and (I think) they are pretty trendy!
