Help with Autumn footwear

I'm a flip flops in summer & boots in winter person. I find this time of year so hard to wear for. Can you help me find some comfortable footwear to keep me warm & dry but won't cut my feet to ribbons please ?

I'm in boots to be honest! I've been wearing ankle boots since mid-September and knee-high boots since last week. It's too cold in the mornings (today excepted) for shoes.

I currently have a pair of leopard print loafers for when I need to be smartish, and puma suedes or adidas gazelles for when I can get away with being casual.

At this time of year, I wear brogues & ankle boots for proper smart wear, (I got a pair of fabulous pink brogues from Clarks last year on the sale and they still look amazing!)
And I wear approach shoes and trainers for casual - both of which are super comfy!
With all of these, I roll up the bottom of my jeans to show a bit of ankle and wear very small socks.

I have the Tesco ankle boots that were raved about on here last year, they've been fab! I'll see if there's something similar

sanitygirl · 10/10/2018 12:03

I live in Nike Internationalist trainers in the autumn and spring - wear them with invisible socks. I don't have to be smart but if I did I'd probably go for some old school DMs www.drmartens.com/uk/en_gb/p/24256001

Trainers? Brogues or loafers if need to be a smarter. But I've already worn my boots a few times, it is October! Actually autumn is my favourite shoe time because although my sandals have been put away everything else is is suitable, I've worn boots and a jumper with a summer dress and mules with trousers and a shirt.

Pupsiecola · 10/10/2018 18:07

I have some Clarks brogues in mid grey which I love. And some Supgergas in a mid biege suede.

gillys · 12/10/2018 09:08

Think the problem is my feet are quite delicate in that everything rubs & makes them sore. Smart trainers might be my best bet.

These are pretty similar to the boots that I've been wearing these last few weeks - the wedge heel makes them really comfy.

I'd second supergas as being really comfy, and they have smart colour variations too

Growingboys · 12/10/2018 21:10

I'm in trainers and leather ankle boots and flat loafers

EffYouSeeKaye · 12/10/2018 21:12

Supergas are also my preferred choice for between sandals and boots.
