my DD is 9 she would like some winter trousers that are not leggings (too thin) not joggers( just doesn't like them with cuffs at ankles) or jeans ( too stiff) not skinny ( as sometimes too tight to allow full movement) or ripped and not black grey or navy ie school trousers, she likes bright colours in maybe pink red purple bright blue patterned but warm would pay upto £20 maybe 25 she wants something a bit baggy but not culottes or harem pants what I would call normal trousers I have looked in George at ASDA Next M&S, H&M, Boden and no joy any ideas??

Sorry, not much help but I'm also looking for something like that.

I'd dearly love cords with some elastane/lycra so they'd be cosy but comfortable.

My parents usually send them from the continent, but I've seen some in the past at places like La Redute or Vertbaudet

A few styles on vert baudet. Mostly slim fit though.

There's a baggier pair that only go up to age 8. Grey-purple.

Try Zara. I haven’t looked at the new A/W range but they often have exactly the kind of thing you’re describing.

ShowOfHands · 30/09/2018 21:08

My DD has always liked Boden baggies and their jersey trousers. Their current range is all leggings and jeans but we've always bought from eBay. She also wears chinos. She won't wear jeans or leggings either. She does like dungarees however. We had some success in Matalan last year.

Plenty on here.

Sometimes Uniqlo is good for this, I have not been on their website lately but DD had loads of trousers from them last year that were great and Non skinny!

drspouse · 30/09/2018 21:54

Polarn o Pyret often have bright colours but the couple of pairs we have may be a bit too jeans like.

New Look has some similar options to River Island
