One week to blitz - what would you do?

Next weekend I have a big reunion to go to and I would like to look as good as possible! I am over weight and haggered looking 🙁
So what would be the things you would ap nd the next week doing? I am on a seriously low budget so nothing at a salon etc.
My first cheap idea is to drink plenty of water and do some seriously clean eating for the week but what else?
Please don’t say I should have started earlier, I know I just hadn’t realised it was coming so soon.

I swear by this 3 day diet from Dr Perricone (I hope you like salmon and eggs!) before any big event. Otherwise I think that having your eyebrows threaded (if you have had it done before by someone you trust?) which can be pretty cheap is absolutely the easiest way to make a difference and look pulled together. <a class="break-all" href="https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=foreveryoung.perriconemd.com/dr-perricones-three-day-diet.html&ved=2ahUKEwiCseyFt-PdAhWOZlAKHbnJDA0QFjAAegQIBBAB&usg=AOvVaw3SzcHGakzU46Vx4qPE-hih" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=foreveryoung.perriconemd.com/dr-perricones-three-day-diet.html&ved=2ahUKEwiCseyFt-PdAhWOZlAKHbnJDA0QFjAAegQIBBAB&usg=AOvVaw3SzcHGakzU46Vx4qPE-hih

Also, get into good sleep hygiene: no phone or computer at least 2 hours before bed, do something like knitting or reading before you fall asleep etc.

Good haircut. Could be done cheaply if you have a local college that trains hairdressers (same for beauty treatments actually).

Top skincare this week - lots of exfoliating, moisturising, drink water. Use what you have.

Practice your makeup for the event, and pick out clothes now that you feel comfortable and confident in, so you are not worrying on the day/night about what you will be wearing.

Pore strips/face masks
Was going to suggest local college for low cost hair cut/dye
Deep conditioning treatment on hair
Teeth whitening strips
Gradual tanner
Dye eyelashes/brows

Thank you done great ideas there! I shall be trying most although i only had a hair cut two weeks ago so i don't think i need to do that. Unfortunately i am allergic to salmon so that diet is an absolute no no, I wonder if tinned tuna would work as that is the only fish i can eat now 😠

Excellent, you are ahead of the game already with the haircut Grin

I haven't checked the link but I did the Perricone diet years ago before a big event, I think the salmon is because of the oils in it, tuna might not be comparable unfortunately.

Daisypod · 01/10/2018 06:48

Hmmm that's a shame looked like an ok diet for three days. Still gutted i can't eat most fish anymore, developed the allergy about ten years ago 😠

Wear your most flattering colour against your face , a great colour lipstick, earrings that shine a bit and SMILE a genuine smile from your eyes and you will smash it . Have a great time !

LulusMiniEgg · 01/10/2018 07:38

Fake tan on your face, always makes me look a lot healthier & awake (and I have 2 kids that don’t sleep!)
Agree with eyebrows, I only get mine done occasionally and they always look so much better when I do.
Nails done ( I do my own gel ones) or broadway nails fake ones look really natural if yours are bitten (ex-nail biter here)
No drink this week and get some early nights in x

Gah I'm not getting anything when I click your link. Would you mind putting it on again please?
