Dying my hair darker

My hair has been dyed light blonde using Garnier Olia. I think it was 9.3 light blonde I used.

I want to go back more to my natural colour which I have no idea of as the roots are coming through very dark. I used to be an ash blonde naturally.

Anyways, I have bought Garnier Olia dark blonde hair colour and wondering if this will actually make my previously lightened hair darker which is what I want.

Any helpful tips much appreciated.

I would recommend doing a strand test as I've always understood that applying a darker colour on highlighted or bleached hair can leave khaki coloured results.
