Hi, I need a moisturiser for red sensitive and dehydrated skin that works well under makeup.
I’m on maternity leave so would prefer something that doesn’t break the bank. Please help!

Neutrogena Hydro Boost is my go-to!

Weleda skin food is amazing

redsummershoes · 30/09/2018 11:25

weleda skin food is a bit sticky for under makeup. but great as night cream.

aldi own nivea q10 knock off is great (as is the original)

I love Superdrug's Birch water face cream. I have really dry skin and it's moisturising but not greasy.

I use lrp melt in cream under makeup as a moisturiser. Its a sunscreen but brilliant under makeup ( I also have red sensitive dehydrated skin)

Nivea Soft. £1 a tube from home bargains.

MakeYourOwnFuckingTea · 01/10/2018 10:51

I second nivea soft.

I am loving Garnier Rose Water Moisturiser, its only £2.99 and doesn't irritate my skin or my eyes like most creams do

ViserionTheDragon · 01/10/2018 11:25

I wouldn't use Weleda Skin food on the face, it's too thick and heavy. Your makeup wouldn't stand a chance!

I like Green People's moisturizers, they work quite well under makeup.

I like CeraVe lotion, I haven’t tried the cream, or Avene Recovery cream is lovely too :-)

Lndnmummy · 03/10/2018 19:10

Thanks everyone, like the sound of neutrogena. I react to most things natural so weleda is out. I react to Nivea and all the LRP products I have tried.
Never tried ceravie or neutrogena so will take a look
I like Avene but it doesn’t work great under make up for me. Maybe I do something wrong, will take another look.
Thanks everyone.
