Boots Points - boring I know!

Boots are currently offering 21 points per pound this weekend. I currently have about £60 on my advantage card.
Does anyone know if I buy something (perfume), can I use the points I already have towards the purchase and still get the new points?

No, AFAIK you can't accrue points on a transaction if you spend points in that transaction.

Yeah you either pay for something and gain points, or use the points to buy something. You won’t get points on something if you use the points to buy it, the shop wouldn’t make any money! You also have to have the full amount of points you need to redeem them, you can’t say put your £60 of points towards a £100 toothbrush for example. (I used to work at Boots and this came up a lot).
