Leopard print skinny jeans...a bit too 'extra'?

I was in my local Topshop earlier and saw these jeans, in my size, reduced to £20 (still full price online but there was only one pair instore).

Leopard Jeans

Tried them on for a laugh...the shape and fit was gorgeous so I thought I'd buy them and return if I decided they were too mad looking later. I kinda love them but worry they might be a bit 'outré'. For context, I'm 35, size 10 hourglass and 5ft5.
I'm thinking they could work with an oversize black cashmere jumper and ankle boots...or am I bonkers and need to return them, posthaste?

I actually quite like them would need a simple black or plain top to go with it.

FashionFoodLaughs · 29/09/2018 16:57

I love them! Similar size and age, definitely not extra. Just make sure hair and makeup isn’t too OTT perhaps?

FellSwoop · 29/09/2018 17:02

Thanks! I'm pale and tend to stick with clean base, minimal eye makeup and matte red lips most of the time, and hair is light blonde long bob which I just wear in mostly a bed head style.

70's nostalgia? Not if you're a Kenny Everett fan, he did an impression of Rod Stewart wearing very similar ones Wink

Now that is a look! #bumgoals

I think they are great! They will look fab with the outfit you've described and the beauty look you have going on. A chic and polished hair style and makeup look is the difference between fashion and fancy dress haha.
I like the idea of the jumper to soften it a bit - anything leather or studded will be too harsh and a bit too wannabe 80s rock chic. Keep it soft and pretty on top.

MoltonSilver · 29/09/2018 18:10

Kenny Everett was ahead of his time with the Kardashian bum.

fiorentina · 29/09/2018 18:49

I think they are great with a black top and boots. V cool.

FellSwoop · 29/09/2018 19:10

What the heck, I'll keep them! Tried them on with black suede chelsea boots and the slouchy cashmere jumper and it looks great.

I've lost 3.5 stone (baby weight) over the last 2 years but still sometimes suffer from the mindset that I'm too big to wear certain things, even though I'm absolutely not. I was still wearing size 12 until recently even though I've definitely been the small end of size 10 since about July...just kept reaching for size 12 in everything. I look much more tidy and put together now that I'm wearing correctly fitting clothes!

I think they would look great with a classic camel or black wrap coat too. I would wear them and I’m waaaaay older than you!

NickyNora · 29/09/2018 20:31

I love them but think I'm too old at 45 tp wear them.

I'm a size 10.

XingMing · 29/09/2018 20:32

Keep the top half simple and they will be useful. I had a pair several years ago and wore them a lot. At 60......

FellSwoop · 29/09/2018 21:36

Thank you ladies.
NickyNora I don't think you are too old to wear them! If you like them then try them!!!

they are great. Leopard is a neutral! I wear lots of leopard with black, white or light grey. keep it simple.
