Cowl neck that isn't too high/close to the neck and preferably something that looks expensive - so not cotton unless very fine jersey and not wool.

No particular budget and prepared to spend to get the ideal item.

Thanks - I like the reiss one but the neck is a shade too high and closer to a slash neck rather than a true cowl neck.

The jigsaw one isn't a cowl neck which is really what I'm after.

@lyinginthesundrinkingbubbles - that is nice but I'd ideally like short sleeves. I may consider it if I can't find antyhing else.

@TeddyIsaHe have you bought from SilkFred before? Do you know what their sizing is like? run small, big or true?

I have, I find it’s mostly true to size, especially with tops. Trousers can be a bit hit and miss but the returns are simple enough.

So I've succumbed and ordered the Silk Fred one.

I'm still hopeful of finding a short sleeved cowl neck in cream or white so if anyone does see one like this on your surfing shopping trips please let me know.
