A few questions about the Seasalt Janelle

Those is the know... I understand that a thick coat doesn't equal warmth and warmth comes from warm air trapped around your body... but I'm struggling to believe that :) Is the Janelle warm enough to be worn with just, say, a long-sleeved tshirt under it on a freezing cold day, or do you still need to layer?

Do Seasalt ever do any better than a 20% off code? When do they start to reduce coats - probably not until January, I guess?

And lastly - has anyone gone by the size guide and found the measurements to be accurate/inaccurate?

TIA!

I would still add another layer but then I do feel the cold. It’s pretty effective, both against cold and rain.

I got mine half price but it was in early summer.

I didn’t check the measurements but found it pretty true to size.

I wouldn't say that it's warm enough on its own for a really freezing cold day. It's fine for me but I live in the south and wear thermals underneath when it's really properly cold.

I used to have a much warmer one from north face but found that I was often too hot which I hate.

OuiOuiMonAmi · 27/09/2018 11:40

Oh, I was hoping you'd all say "yes, it's fine"! :)

I can't have North Face because I'm allergic to down (and allergic to paying that sort of cash!)

It is definitely warm enough for me without extra layers. It may be my age though!
I would say it is true to size too.
Best coat I’ve had for everyday wear. Love the fact it’s so long.

I doubt that many coats would be army brought over a long sleeved Tshirt on a freezing cold day. You’d need a jumper surely. It might be 20 degrees in your house and -5 outside so how is just a coat going to sort that?

warm
Enough obviously, bloody phone

Great in terms of length and waterproof. However, if really cold I add a down gilet. I have three of them as great for dog walking. Size chart accurate but size up if want to add a gilet
