Leggings with a dress ?

Please help me out!
I'm heavily pregnant and struggling with outfits that fit and are comfy whilst not making me look at total slob at the moment!

I have a navy blue dress with a small white print on it, I want to west it with thick black leggings and brown ankle boots. In my head I think this looks ok or am I going to look daft, would I be better off with tights ?

I prefer leggings to tights but gwt cinfused wirh acceptable navy/black/brown combinations.

I usually wear navy leggings...

not pregnant, but dresses and leggings are my go to this time of year when it starts to get colder, it sounds nice, and the most important thing is as long as YOU feel comfortable, and warm, clothes are clean and presentable, (which they obviously are, as you clearly take pride in how you look) wear it im sure its lovely!

I don't have any navy leggings unfortunately. I too am always confused by the whole navy/black/ brown thing

I'm pregnant too and I'm wearing a dress and leggings today :)

The bump makes it ride up too short for tights!

I LIVED in leggings and dresses whilst pregnant!

The general rule of yesteryear was never wear brown shoes with black trousers - but today no one cares, especially late in pregnancy when often only certain shoes are comfortable

I'm pregnant and living in leggings. Definitely get some maternity leggings that go over the bump, I got mine from new look

But get confused about...

Black leggings - can you wear brown boots or should it be black?

Navy and black - clashes?

Heavily pregnant= wear what you like

I don't wear navy and black or brown and black

I'd wear Black and Tan though

With your navy dress I'd wear brown tights brown boots or navy tights brown boots
Or leggings
Tu have the softest navy leggings ever that if you buy a size up from normal come halfway up the bump

In the end I decided the dress/Leggings/boots combination didn't look quite right.

Currently in a royal blue tunic type top, black leggings and dark tan boots which seems to work much better

I think the poster who suggested navy or brown tights with the dress and boots has it spot on
