Just that really. Haven't a great wardrobe, all the money going on the trip but I want to feel nice when we're there and have capsule wardrobe to go from day to night easily. Anyone been / anyone suggest a good basic list?

We went with the kids and stayed out all day into the evening, so didn't dress up for dinner or anything. Everywhere we went was very casual, and there were people wearing all sorts...from jeans and tshirt with trainers, to suits and brogues and everything inbetween.

The most important thing is comfortable shoes. Almost EVERYONE wears trainers. You'll walk miles!

We went in October. The weather was gorgeous. It was mild, but it got quite chilly in to the evening as soon as the sun went in.

Have an amazing time. Smile

Can I suggest picking some colours such as red, navy and white? Take only things of those colours so you can mix and match easily,

Thanks. I've got some trainers but think I might buy a second pair.
Black leggings, black jacket so probably will keep that as a base colour. Do you think a dress or heels necessary?

Unless you’re eating out somewhere super-posh, dress & heels definitely not necessary.

Thank you. So excited, but it's a surprise trip for my husband so having to try and plan/ pack when he's not around it's so hard to keep it under wraps.. 6 days and counting Grin

Hi! We went as a surprise for my DP past month. It was boiling last month, and I believe it's still hot now, so pick something you can cope with muggy conditions in. I took a load of sundresses, couldn't wear most of them and had to go buy a light jumpsuit as it was so hot, sticky and sweaty and I got very bad thigh chafe, even with chafing cream. DP also suffered for the first time in his life!

There were tons of people round in palazzo pants, and we noticed lots of people looking effortless- in a few bars we went in, it wasn't a dress and heels but shorts, a shirt and ankle boots. Could count one one hand the jeans we saw, it was too hot.

If I was to go again, I would pack a couple of thin jumpsuits, a pair of cullottes and a pair of palazzo pants. For an evening id take a shirt dress or smart shorts possibly.

Last time I didn't wear any of my "going out" stuff. Jet lag had us knackered so we tended to eat in or near to the hotel, in casual bars, so didn't change from our daytime clothes as I was heading to bed bt 9

It's looking really warm - high 20s. Make sure some of your tops are short-sleeved. If it were me I'd take ankle-grazer skinny or boyfriend jeans, nice t shirts, trainers, 2 casual day dresses, a pair of metallic sandals, and a light jacket.

KillashandraRee · 29/09/2018 23:01

Thanks all this is so useful, more than you know! I have a lightweight jumpsuit I'll pack, and a shirt dress. With jeans and tshirts so I've a mix. I would have packed jumpers and winter stuff so glad I asked! Will put in shorts for husband in case it's still hot. If not he can do polo shirt and jeans.

4 days til I tell him!!!!

I'm excited for you!

We went in mid October. It was really lovely in the days, but got quite chilly once the sun went in. Take a hoodie or a light jacket for the evenings.

It'll be beautiful!

Chelsea26 · 29/09/2018 23:24

I was there last weekend with my bestie and it was fab!

Warmer then here but cold In The evening. We packed a posh frock and heels each because we wanted a night out looking and feeling foxy and didn’t feel overdressed on that night but the rest of the time it was skinny’s and a nice top. I always wear heels so I did and my friend rarely does so she didn’t! It’s such a melting pot that you can really wear what you like but if you’re talking for weather/comfort I’d go for jeans and a t shirt in the day (trainers for the days you are doing a lot of walking as PP have said) and then a leather/denim jacket for the evening especially if you are doing rooftop bars as up high it’s much colder!

Also go here - cafewha.com/ it’s the best!!

Have a fab time

Thanks Chelsea that's great. So excited now, nearly confessed all yesterday but stayed strong and waiting until Wednesday to throw the surprise!
