The temporary blonde colour I had put on my hair to cover copious greys had started to wash out this morning. Instead of putting more on I decided to dye my hair with a mixture of camomile tea, turmeric and coffee. Brewed 6 camomile tea bags up in my teapot added a pinch each of turmeric and instant coffee and left to brew and cool. Covered my dry hair in the mixture. Dried it with hairdryer, then rinsed out. Pretty pleased with the result. My white hairs are golden so hair no longer looks grey. This mixture was less messy than commercial box dye. Only warning is (from my research on YouTube) turmeric can be used to dye hair bright yellow so if you don't want bright yellow hair go easy on it.
