Work wardrobe help required

So I am 5'3" and a size 8/10 (depending on brand). I have loads of work dresses but am now going to be more office based (only go in two days a week at the moment) so would like to mix it up with some trousers and tops.

Any tips. I mainly struggle with nice tops. Preferably some that don't need too much ironing....

I like zara jumpers - short and long sleeved, bung in the washing machine and still look good/last for years. I have black, navy, white and grey. I also have a 'faux' shirt collar that I sometimes wear under them - (looks like you have a shirt underneath but not all lumpy and difficult to tuck in).

Ribbed jumpers and polo necks can look very smart with ankle length trousers but are also comfy and can be dressed down for weekends. Wear stud earrings too for a smarter but unfussy look.

Warehouse have brilliant autumn workwear - their crew jumpers are really flattering and wash well.

I’ve just bought navy tartan trousers and one black one navy cigarette trousers from TopShop, with fine knit slim fit jumpers in a few colours (to tuck in), I’m a similar size to you, but a bit taller and trousers fall just above ankle. Will wear with shoe boots. I’m excited for autumn!

I was going to say Warehouse too. I just bought two new tops, neither of which needs ironing and each less than £40. One of them is leopard print and looks way better on middle-aged me than I would ever have expected!

Need to have a look at Warehouse. Unfortunately the one near my work has closed. I like the idea of shoe boots they would look nice with ankle length trousers. Think I maybe need to take myself to Westfield and have a look round. Will also look at Top Shop.

I do love a bit of Warehouse.

I am same height/size, office based full time and wear dresses mainly. My go to trouser options are:

Wide legged tousers (have in black and burgundy) from Mango. They are supposed to be 7/8 length but are pretty much full length on me.

Uniqlo black wool content trousers fron last season, have stretchy waistband so no bulk at front. Have simlar but thinner and more slouchy Uniqlo grey trousers.

Massimo dutti dark teal trousers. They pretend a lot of their stuff needs dry cleaning but delicate wash is works for me.

With the trousers I go for plain shirts (mix of high street stores) with 3/4 sleeve blazer. Or a thin jumper, again uniqlo, or printed top - massimo dutti is good for this too though I have a couple of ones I like from monsoon.
plain shirts and funky jewellery. Or in warmer weather printed tops (have a couple of nice Monsoon ones).

& Other Stories have some gorge jumpers

HalleLouja · 27/09/2018 12:30

Am liking these from Mango. Am thinking the best thing is to go and try some bits on....

Massimo Dutti is not somewhere I have looked before but liking this too. There are lots of nice bits. I think there might be one near my current office....

Mango, warehouse and oasis.

Ended up getting a few bits from Hobbs in the end and a lovely jumper from Jigsaw.

This jumper.

I think these were the trousers.

Button back jumper.

Have ordered a couple of pairs of burgundy trousers to try on.
