Bad to use some products when nursing?

Hi all, I've name changed for this as I'm not very sure where it belongs - here, infant feeding or AIBU?

Just wondering if, when breastfeeding an 18-month-old toddler - who is obviously not getting all their nutrition through milk anymore - I should continue to avoid all theoretically / potentially harmful substances that haven't been safety tested in nursing mothers? Like witch hazel in makeup setting powder or anti-ageing creams? Is it not such a small amount (to be deemed safe on our faces) that it won't really affect my milk at this point? Or is it still dangerous?

I'm interested in nursing the little un long-term (for as long as we both want to) but I would rather not look quite so old and tired meanwhile. Blush

Thanks in advance for any advice.
