Petite Jeans

I'm vertically challenged and after losing a lot of weight, have started looking for new jeans. I'm 5ft 1 according to the NHS measuring thingy at the hospital.

I have some nice ones from next which are skinny leggings ones which are really comfy but I want slightly wider ones maybe more straight leg. I have a cropped pair from Tesco which are comfy but not for the winter.

But where I look doesn't seem to be short or petite. They just seem so long in some places.

Did find a nice pair in a size 12 in Dorothy Perkins but they seemed to be very small in size compared to how easily the next ones do up.

I'm looking for something which can be worn smart or casual.

Please can anyone direct me in the right direction?

I'm 5'2 and struggle to find proper petite jeans, especially if I want cropped or ripped at the 'knee'.

Then I got some GAP ones in petite.......... Perfect length, and rips actually at the knees!

One of the only places I find is M&S. In other places the length is too long. Some M&S clothes are a little old fashioned but they do fit me at 5ft 1.

Although I'm 5'4 I have short legs so need petite length too
I always wear Top shop Jamie's which are skinny with a high ish rise
They do a multitude of styles and fits
So I would suggest you take a look at their website as they do not stock many petite styles in stores
Next are also good for petite length

Topshop Joni, are the right length on me can either be worn slightly turned up which I like to do but are the right length to wear with heels too.

Also miss selfridge do a nice petite skinny jean I can't remember what it's called though

I know newlook do a 26 leg as well as the normal 28 petite now too.

Oh I'm also 5.1

Maybe helpful, maybe not... possibly silly question, but, did you try the next size up of the dp ones you liked? It really doesn’t matter what number the label has printed on it, clothes in different shops will always come up with different fits. Even within the same shop different styles will be tighter/looser. I’ve been known to try on several pairs of the exact same style and size and find them fit slightly differently- it all depends on where that particular pair were on the cutting pile (fabric slips when they chomp through layers).
