Need new trainers - help!

I'm in search of some new 'go with everything' trainers for every day. Perhaps with a smidge of personality- a metallic stripe or something fun. I need them to carry me through autumn/next spring and be good for the school run/hours in the park but also have a nod to something a tinsy bit more fashionable so I don't always look like a scruff - im a SW London mum!

Any ideas?!

How about Veja trainers - they are a bit different, ethically produced and lots of choice. They come up a bit wider than converse. Or, superga- again lots of choice.

No particular budget (I have a birthday coming up) but obviously not ridiculous. Need good quality that won't fall apart after a few wears as I walk miles!

Those veja ones look interesting. Do you know what the sizing is like? I'm a 4.5/5 depending on brand

Unfortunately can't access the second link, what brand are they and I can google

unsure why link is not working

Google ash dazed trainers.

What about adidas originals with leopard print stripes?

misstiggiwinkle · 23/09/2018 09:37

Ooo they are fun, and like the idea of a leopard stripe! I'm going to end up with multiple pairs 😬

Schuh is very good for being inspired by other shoe brands they stock & sell them at a much more reasonable price. For example superga, converse & nu balance are a fraction of the price in their Schuh range & are often just as good quality.I got a v plain white pair there a couple of months ago & they are so comfy. Sorry but Have Luddite tendencies & cannot post links

Paul green has gorgeous work & casual runners too but is quite pricy. Approx € 150-200 for a pair of excellent quality, fit & gorgeous designs. HTH

Leopard print ones are in a 5! What's the sizing like for all these lovely suggestions? Will be ordering online

Off to look at Schuh

I'm a 4.5 in Clark's and bought the veja ones in a 4, they are really comfy. They aren't too narrow either.

uncomfortablydumb53 · 23/09/2018 12:13

I recommend Adidas Stan Smiths too
They are more " dainty" on the feet
So are great for every day wear
I have them in black and silver.. in 53

FabulousTomatoes · 23/09/2018 14:09

I have several pairs of Vejas and Stan Smiths. I take a six in all of them. My usual size.

FabulousTomatoes · 23/09/2018 14:10

Oh and I’m a six in my Superstars too.

misstiggiwinkle · 23/09/2018 22:22

Thank you all, been super helpful, now I just need to decide!
