Where do you get your knitwear?

I’m mid 30s, no kids and not ready for Boden yet. I’m done with Topshop acrylic and want some nice jumpers. I have some interesting ones from Cos but want something a bit more classic too (especially as I’m petite so can look swamped).

I tried on a John Lewis cashmere crew neck today and was very tempted but it was a tad boring.

Where is everyone getting their interesting but stylish jumpers from?

@horseymchorseface ( love the name!)
Could you point me in the direction of a seller of Ali express you have used?

Another vote for Uniqlo cashmere, Brora in the sale or the standard whistles sparkle knit when I want something jazzy.

I actually quite like that White Stuff disco one although personally wouldn’t buy a merino/cotton blend as I live somewhere truly arctic and it won’t be very warm!

I like the hush jumper a lot but £69 for a jumper that can't go in the washing machine is a big no here. Why not look at m&s? this one is incredible similar and a fraction of the cost. It just doesn't have a cool label in it

Does Uniqlo have ethical credentials? It always seems a bit too good to be true in terms of prices, so I am never sure.

I buy knitwear from Uniqlo (just got this in red), Cos and (sorry) Boden cropped cashmere cardigans - I like their slouchy V-necks as well. M&S also have good cashmere

zeeboo · 23/09/2018 19:20

I knit it Grin

MaybeDoctor Uniqlo does OK in terms of its ethical credentials. Not among the worst or best. goodonyou.eco/how-ethical-is-uniqlo/

I love &Daughter but only in the sales. They are made in Ireland and Scotland, currently on sale at Yoox. Com. The quality is amazing and will last for years.

MaybeDoctor · 24/09/2018 10:22

Thanks Tiddle.

&Daughter, is that cashmere?

Do people think that cashmere is just for the really chilly weather or is it ok between seasons too? I know that merino is supposed to keep you cool when needed - does cashmere work in the same way?

Mercurial123 · 24/09/2018 10:23

Maybe they do cashmere and wool.
