Can I wear Toast clothes?

I ve recently cottoned onto Toast, but as a 5 foot 2 person who had a large third baby less than 3 months ago (and currently has no waist), I don't think I can carry the look off. All the models are tall and willowy: it's a no go isn't it?

Those tall, willowy models don’t wear Toast in rl. The clothes are clearly made to skim over less than picture-perfect figures.

Wonderful quality and suit people of all ages.

The dresses can be quite long, I'm 5 foot 5 and very much not willowy and they're below knee on me. However, it's all quite unfitted so having no waist shouldn't be a problem.
I say if you like it try it out, they do free returns! You can pick up quite a bit on ebay too.

Oh this is encouraging! I might send off for a couple of bits and start imagining I'm a mysterious red head walking along a misty Scottish shoreline.

I'm about your height and had to lop a foot off a (gorgeous) dressing gown I received as a gift. I find the fit drowns me, a bit like Cos, but I think select items would be ok.

The cut is usually very generous. Trousers are often cropped length.

Yes, that’s true. It used to be the case that you could safely assume everything would be two sizes bigger than expected - but the sizing seems even less predictable now. So, ordering may require an element of to-ing and fro-ing to get the best fit for different items. And separates / shorter dresses may work better than longer dresses with masses of fabric.

Their denim is impressive. (Though I’ll personally never be seen in a pinafore ...)

I do worry about the frequency of their sales and wonder if anyone ever buys anything at the original price there any more.

I love Toast clothes, but I have a very long back for my height (5’8”) find that the waists are too high on their dresses, tops are too short and trouser waists hit in a very odd place. I have a fantastic parka from them though! Quality is excellent, lots of natural fibres.

I’ve bought Toast clothes on and off over the years, and have found them to be generally good quality and wash well, but check fabrics and washing instructions carefully before you buy. There’s an awful lot of dry-clean only viscose this season. And who’s got time for a dry-clean only dress? A wool skirt or trousers, at a pinch, but not a dress.
