Which dress for wedding today

Need your advice. I'm going to a wedding this afternoon. (Not a big white wedding but nice do nonetheless)

For the last month I've had my dress planned. A grey number from oasis.
Today in hindsight I'm having doubts as I will have my toddler with me for half the day and inevitably will need to bend down and pick her up etc. Also it's quite floaty and so am worried about flashing everyone 😮
So this morning I've added one of my smart numbers I wear to work to the mix. Now I feel way more comfortable in this dress it suits my shape nice and I won't be worried about giving everyone a glimpse but I think it may be too dark.

Opinions please oh wise ones!

Husband prefers the floaty grey number but is also worried about me flashing everyone.

Which do you prefer?

Thanks :-)

I prefer the first one... but is it navy or black? If it's navy then I think it's ok

fieryginger · 22/09/2018 10:21

Both lovely but I prefer the black one for a wedding.

DollyWilde · 22/09/2018 10:22

Ooh I prefer the grey, you have fabulous legs Smile but if you’re worried about flashing then better to be comfortable! They’re both great.

scrivette · 22/09/2018 10:23

They are both suitable but if you are more comfortable with the first one go with that, otherwise you will be pulling at the dress all day.

Lovely shoes by the way Smile

ILoveMyMonkey · 22/09/2018 10:25

Number one is lovely on you

Nottsangel2015 · 22/09/2018 10:33

Thank you everyone i actually cannot tell the true colour of the first even in the flesh if it's navy it's super super dark but it does look more black.

I'm pleased to hear both look suitable and that number 1 is definitely suitable as I was unsure. For what it's worth it's indoors in a hotel.

Thank you for the compliments on my legs! I think it's the tan from holiday making them look good. The tops look horrific tho 😂

I think I might go with number 1 just purely for comfort it's just a shame because I love number 2! Damn you toddler lol 😂

Number 1 is the better of the two. Have you got a better bra? It would look better with some lift in the boob area.

Nottsangel2015 · 22/09/2018 10:38

Bombardia Ha my boobs are huge I find it hard to get a boosting bra but i do have one which has a as much oomph as I can get with my size! I shall be wearing that I only tried these on with one of my day to day bras Wink

I prefer the darker one.

Disfordarkchocolate · 22/09/2018 10:58

Grey one for me, you have very good legs!

WendyTheWestie · 22/09/2018 10:58

I like the darker one.

BikeRunSki · 22/09/2018 11:01

Darker one

LassWiADelicateAir · 22/09/2018 11:01

The dress in the picture on the left of the screen.

MrsJane · 22/09/2018 12:09

The grey is nice but I think the first one is a better fit. And you’ll be more comfy in terms of chasing toddler.

legolammb · 22/09/2018 12:20

Agree the darker one is a better fit. As it's Autumn I think you can get away with darker colours at a wedding

Elledorado · 22/09/2018 13:01

The darker one. The short one isnt as nice.

Nottsangel2015 · 22/09/2018 13:55

Thank you so much everyone I went with the darker one and feel so comfortable :-) was the best choice for sure!

Thank you fellow Mumsnetters Smile

I agree, the one on the left is a better fit. If you are worried about flashing, you won't relax!

Clionba · 22/09/2018 16:50

ps - your legs are in great shape!

Limtedattention · 23/09/2018 08:29

Hope it's a good day. You look great in both. And yes, great legs.
