Aldi skin care hits and misses!

Probably been done to deaths but can anybody recommend the hits and misses of Aldi skin care? I have the cheap blue pot night cream, really like it but I can't get on with the day cream equivalent. Wondering what else is worth trying!

I really live the charcoal face mask in a silver pot. I think it's similar to glam glow mask but a fraction of the price. Also love the shower cream in a blue and white bottle... sorry cant remember the actual name of it. Moisturising shower creme.

The Q-10 serum is great. I’ve used it under my day and night cream for over a year now.

YouWereRight · 22/09/2018 09:49

I quite like the hot cloth cleanser.

SandysMam · 22/09/2018 09:55

Second the Q10 serum!!

Witchofzog · 22/09/2018 09:57

Q10 serum and caviar cream in the silver pot - both are amazing.

Not skincare but an important warning nonetheless. Don't buy the tampons. They get STUCK Shock

neveradullmoment99 · 22/09/2018 10:00

😮@ tampons

evilharpy · 22/09/2018 10:02

The hot cloth cleanser is great.

SandysMam · 22/09/2018 10:44

Sad they don’t get stuck for me slopes off to work on pelvic floor

twilightcafe · 22/09/2018 10:46

Ditto the Q10 serum.

I don't like their face creams - too much fragrance for my liking.

HildaZelda · 22/09/2018 11:51

I bought the caviar cream, but it was too rich for me (oily/combo skin) I gave it to my aunt (tending towards drier skin) and she loved it and has since repurchased.

The eye gel (in the red glass pot) is nice. I didn't like the (red bottle) serum. I though it smelt very alcoholic.

The shower gels are good (the Original Source copies especially)

I found the tampons okay, but prefer Tampax. The bloody sanitary towels are scented though! I specifically bough them because NOWHERE on the pack did it mention scented, so I assumed I was safe Angry

Lastly, not skincare, but the chocolate lava puddings go great with GBBO ;)

I've got their Q10 day cream, Q10 night cream and the eye gel (red pot), all are pretty good and do the job. I've not got much of a point of reference though as am not big on cosmetics, don't wear make up. But am 48 so do need to give the wrinkles a bit of an iron occasionally!

fiorentina · 22/09/2018 12:08

Their mascara was good - not sticky skin care but cheap as chips!

MsHomeSlice · 22/09/2018 12:16

I really liked their lavender range recently...purple pot, shiny silver lid, face cream and eye cream, I have used both pots of face cream already

also bought the glycolic cleansing pads...they have been a revelation, I normally don't faff with facey things, dry face from shower and slather on something to stop the crispy

Also bought their Miracle Cream which is supposed to be a dupe for Elizabeth Arden, but I find that a little heavy for my face. Excellent for nails, and lips though.

I quite liked their Cuvee stuff, but not enough to finish the pot of cream or the serum....I liked the lavender stuff better!

Lidl used to be my go to for fancy face stuff, but recently it's all been Aldi, as above

I've had lippy and mascara and eyeliners from both and had no complaints.

grannycake · 22/09/2018 12:19

I also like the hot cloth cleanser and stock up whenever its in Didn't get on with the caviar serum - really didn't like it at all

Bombardier25966 · 22/09/2018 12:24

They've got more beauty bits in this week. I do like an Aldi beauty special!

Not on the website yet but the charcoal mask is brilliant, and in store from Thursday. I also really liked the lavender range but that's not back yet.

Oh and they've got a Pixi Glow Tonic dupe coming in for £4!

evilharpy · 22/09/2018 12:26

I loved the lavender range too. I had the night cream and eye gel.
