It's 4 pounds in local charity shop. Is it nice or horrid ? I think the price may be interfering with my judgement.

Ooh I quite like it. Would be nice with some kind of cami and someskinnies

sourpatchkid · 21/09/2018 16:04

Hmm I quite like it, I think it would look good worn with jeans or trousers

EnidButton · 21/09/2018 16:16

Depends if you like Theresa May's style. If you do then go for it but it's not my cup of tea personally.

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 21/09/2018 16:17

Very nice. Looked at one similar at Hush for about 20X the price!!

TodoDoingDone · 21/09/2018 16:23

GrinEnid! I think that's the problem, it makes me look older and more conservative (with a small c) than I usually do. But I could dress it down...to look like May off duty!

OP posts:
keepingbees · 21/09/2018 16:34

I think it would look nice dressed down with skinny jeans and top!

EnidButton · 21/09/2018 17:05

How much is it? Is it cheap enough to risk getting it so you can try it with jeans etc at home? I know what others mean about it looking cool with skinnies and boots but I can't get my mind's eye past the TM thing now.

EnidButton · 21/09/2018 17:07

Oops sorry you already said! £4 is well worth a go I think.

guiltynetter · 21/09/2018 17:07

@enidbutton the price is in the first 2 words of the OP!

furandchandeliers · 21/09/2018 17:29

I thought Theresa may too Blush

sittingonacornflake · 21/09/2018 17:31

I like it!

TodoDoingDone · 21/09/2018 17:43

Thanks for all the thoughts. I'll put on some jeans and try it on tomorrow, if it's still there.

loobylou10 · 21/09/2018 17:44

Yep. Immediate thought was ‘Theresa May’. Sorry

Scarecrow2016 · 21/09/2018 18:24

Would you buy it brand new? If the answer is no don't buy it because it's cheap.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 21/09/2018 18:51

Yes, you should !

Hairytangerine · 21/09/2018 18:55

Jesus for £4

Ellapaella · 21/09/2018 20:43

It looks very Bodenesque. Where is it from? I think it's a bit Teresa May and it's not my style but it's okay for what it is if that's your style and you like it. For £4 you may as well go for it.

NickyNora · 21/09/2018 21:41

Buy it!

Bouledeneige · 21/09/2018 21:52

Frumpy. Sorry. I'm 54 and I wouldn't wear it.

ChishandFips33 · 21/09/2018 21:53

Buy it and consider it a donation to charity - I wear loads more styles buying from charity shops as I'd never have looked at most of my purchases if they had been full price

dudsville · 21/09/2018 21:57

My 1st thought was boden. It's a nice pattern. It's classic. I have smart jackets so that I can smarten up an otherwise completely casual outfit for work. I wouldn't wear it with a smart skirt for instance but it would look nice if you wanted to.

NoNoCharlieRascal · 21/09/2018 22:01

I read the title as Jacket potato more times than I wish to admit

Agree with the Teresa May comments. Sorry.

eurochick · 21/09/2018 22:03

It's the sort of thing I'd wear for meetings over a smart dress (City lawyer). I quite like it for that.

JaneJeffer · 21/09/2018 23:17

It would be lovely over all back. For 4 quid I'd get it!

makeupmaven · 21/09/2018 23:20

Beautiful jacket, what a steal! Go and buy it, OP!
