I’ve always been partial to a bit of chenille and am so attracted to this gold/mustard colour! Any thoughts on this jumper please and how it might be styled? Thank you. 😊

I hate it. The colour and the fabric texture. I looks like upholstery of a very dated, grandiose stately home or something.

MsHomeSlice · 20/09/2018 12:59

I've seen lots of chenille about this year, and in the earth tones...remember they go bald in the machine and dryer!!

Who knew they would be making a comeback? I had a lovely black one the first time around!

I'd wear it with jeans tbh, but then jeans are my go to!

PlinkPlink · 20/09/2018 13:00

I reckon a nice pair of light grey jeans with that, maybe a nice chunky necklace or a gold necklace. Black knee high boots too?

Lovely colour. Is that Boohoo?

I got myself a nice mustard yellow top the other day. The colour has really grown on me.

Bluesheep8 · 20/09/2018 13:01

I don't like chenille at all but I do like the colour...with burgundy or navy jeans/leggings?

chocolateavocado99 · 20/09/2018 13:02

Love it. Would wear it with a chocolate brown skirt and boots!

Prettysureitsnotok · 20/09/2018 13:03

It's nice - but don't scrimp on chenille!! I had a primark jumper which barely withstood a mild breeze and had to go in the bin after 2 wears (the knit pulled really badly) but I have a Zara one which is bloody indestructible, the knit is far tighter. I think it was only a £20 price difference

MrsMozart · 20/09/2018 13:05

Love the colour.

Looks snuggly.

I'm not organized enough to do much planning of what I'd wear it with..., it looks like it'd go with many things though Smile

zenasfuck · 20/09/2018 13:10

I'd wear it with black skinnies and chunky boots

BusterGonad · 20/09/2018 13:13

It's a bit 90s for me, but then I expect I'm showing my age! 😂

Elledorado · 20/09/2018 13:23

I've never seen anyone successfully wear chenille sorry!

dontgobaconmyheart · 20/09/2018 14:06

I don't love it OP, sorry- it's not that flattering a cut even on the model. If I was wearing it I'd size up so it was slouchy, roll the sleeves up a little to keep it on trend, and french tuck into jeans or a skirt - short or midi, plain or leather in black, grey or plum, something checked otherwise.
I also think it's a tough colour to pull off as it's sort of brown yellow, but of course you may well have the colouring for it, whereas I do not!
If you like it buy it and see if it goes with what you have at home? That's my usual go to, then just return if not!

PaulHollywoodsleftbollockhair · 20/09/2018 14:27

I ruined a washing machine with a Primark chenille bastard years ago.

We are talking totally fucked it.

It felt minging on too.

AsleepAllDay · 20/09/2018 14:44

I had a jumper like this from Primark and I loved it! Where's this from?

MorrisZapp · 20/09/2018 14:46

Omg nooooooooo chenille is the World's Worst Fabric.

It feels wet even when it's dry.

WhereIsMyDressingGown · 20/09/2018 15:37

I like the colour and material but that shape is not flattering. If you're going for a jumper like that, I would go for black skinny jeans and black heeled boots.

ShirleyPhallus · 20/09/2018 15:38

It feels wet even when it's dry.

This is how I’ve always felt about chenille but never been able to articulate it this successfully!
