Interview appropriate?

Would this be suitable for a university student services role interview? Teamed with a black blazer. I don't know; it feels a bit dressy. I usually wear a shift dress & jacket but I'm a bit bored with it.

It looks a bit fussy to me. I'd go for something simpler. But that's just my personal taste, of course.

Yes that's my thought. The old tried and tested then!

I think jersey is not quite formal enough for most interviews, unless you know that it’s a fairly relaxed workplace, which to be fair student services might be. I really like the dress though and would definitely wear it for an ordinary day at the office. Where did you get it? I want one! 😁

Nice dress, where is it from?

I think it'd be great. People really aren't judging your clothes to that degree at an interview.

Jersey is fine for an interview! Looks fine to me.

Thanks all. I wore it to work as a test and didn't feel sufficiently professional! So have opted for this. Maybe a tad "dull" but it helps me slip into interview mode. Off shortly....

Oh, the jersey dress is Topshop.

I actually think the first dress is more interview appropriate than the second one although I assume you'd wear a jacket with either so the bare arms with the second one wouldn't be an issue?

I've worn lots of jersey dresses to interviews over the years and it's never been an issue (well, I've got the jobs anyway!)....and I work in a fairly conservative investment banking. Jersey dress, well-fitting jacket, clean neat nails, good quality shoes, bag and jewellery and you're done.
