Kids Dr Martens for adults

Has anybody got the kids Dr Martens and worn them themselves? I’ve spotted these that come in adult sizes and have ankle zips so I don’t have to lace up every time.

I’m wondering how they wear? Will they last a few years or will they get beaten up quicker? I’m wondering if the leather etc are cheaper.

They're far more comfortable and far far easier to break in than adults ones.

The soles go a bit faster but they still last ages. Well worth the trade off in my experience.

They're kind of squishy on the insole too, and they feel a bit lighter.

The leather is a bit thinner, so needs a bit more tlc but the trade off is worth it imo.

The zip is the least of it.

I don’t wear them, but have got a few pairs for my DD. The one thing I would say is that the zip constantly seems to fall down. Also, the laces are rubbish and constantly come undone, though you could of course get new laces. So she was constantly walking about with them half off her feet. On the plus side, the leather is a bit softer than normal doc martens, but still good quality.

This is mostly postive news, although the droopy zips are worrying. I might try them out in the house first.

You can loop the lace through the zip to stop it falling, that's how I do it.
