Quick funeral attire query - is a floral dress with black base acceptable?

It's quite an informal service at crematorium followed by reception at nice pub. More of a 'celebration of life' than a sombre traditional funeral iyswim. No dress code. The deceased wasn't a fan of formal suits etc. His partner is wearing a patterned dress.

Would wear said dress with smart black coat, tights and smart shoes. Does this sound ok?

Yes, that sounds good.

Sounds perfect. Smile
Sorry for your loss Flowers

I think that sounds fine for the funeral you describe.
There are some funerals where it would be inappropriate to wear anything other than very sombre colours (dependant on how the closest relatives feel), but for what you describe it sounds fine.
Are they very bright flowers on a black base, or are they pale?

Thanks all.

Squishy it's a tea dress style, black with small-ish red and green flowers. Not in your face at all. And very comfy and flattering.

Sounds fine then!

Sounds perfectly fine to me too.
