Back to front dress?

I have this Boden dress for a December wedding . (It's navy lace and coral underneath if it doesn't show the colour)
I think it's supposed to be worn with the V at the back, but it looks nice both ways round. There's a small split in the skirt on the V side and the labels are also on the V side. Which way would you wear it if you were size 16 with a big bust?

I think it would depend on whether or not I wanted my chest on display!

What feels more comfortable to you?

Soiree · 19/09/2018 13:53

I'd have the labels at the back.

ErrolTheDragon · 19/09/2018 14:02

If you do an image search 'Bowden navy coral lace', the results should include some of that dress - all boat forward, not v.

Bejazzled · 19/09/2018 14:03

Clandestine it's a small V shape neck, it's hardly showing my chest 🙂

I'll try it on a couple more times and see how I feel I think

If I wore that V at the front, you’d probably see my navel! 🤣

Joys of being a short arse, you always get to display a lot more than you plan to.

Verbena87 · 19/09/2018 14:12

V at the back (and gorgeous frock!)

RavenLG · 19/09/2018 14:24

the labels are also on the V side
The V is clearly at the back. Also agree with PP google search shows which way the dress is supposed to be worn.

Wear it whatever way you like, but I would assume the stitching / boob area would look weird on the back.

taybert · 19/09/2018 14:41

I suspect it looks fine tried on backwards but would probably be uncomfortable or ride up if you wore it like that. The fronts and backs of women are quite differently shaped and I’d expect the cut of the dress to reflect that.

MoltonSilver · 19/09/2018 14:46

With a big bust a v neck would probably suit you better.

DontCallMeCharlotte · 19/09/2018 15:17

This one is similar(ish) and the V is at the back.

Yeah, I'll wear it the way god intended, V to the back. 😁

I'm slightly on the busty side of things and I would wear it with the v tbh, although is it shaped for boobies at the back? If it looks good I'd err towards the v, high necks don't suit me at all makes me look weirdly barrell shaped 😂😂

sparklelike · 19/09/2018 19:53

I reckon you can wear it either way, as long as you’re happy how it looks, nice dress!

Bejazzled · 19/09/2018 22:21

Thanks everyone (it's a charity shop bargain) Got it with the labels still attached so was delighted with it.

If you are busty wear the v at the front otherwise you’ll end up with a matronly bosom look. You need the v to break the boob area.

verite · 20/09/2018 08:33

I have 2 dresses with high neck at front and scoop or v at back. I sometimes wear them wrong way round. But they are both jersey or jersey/silk mix so fall ok either way. I would have thought a more structured dress may not fall as well?
