skin problems (acne)

Hello everyone,
My skin is such a mess, I have what looks like blocked pores (tiny raised white lumps) and then angry red spots pretty much all over but particularly on the forehead and cheeks. Does anyone have a regime they'd recommend to help with this? Thanks in advance!

I suffered for years until I went to the Gp and got antibiotics. They worked within days and my skin has been so much better since. I have had one flare up now in about 3 years and had another course of antibiotics which has sorted it again. If it’s a long standing problem I would see the Gp. In hindsight I am sorry I didn’t sooner

thank-you for your reply- I tried antibiotics a few years ago and they did improve the spire a bit, so maybe I should try again. Some of it is scarring though so I guess maybe I'll just have to learn to live with that

Acne is always so hard to treat because there can be so many causes!!
Firstly have you ruled out the basics such as skin just being clean? If not, try washing, twice a day, exfoliating 3 times a week, and moisturising every day twice a day, in that order?
If that doesnt work, i'd look at hormonal changes, different pills, pregnancies etc can change your skin, so have a think about that, may need a change up.
I dont have perfect skin, but it's pretty good, i drink a ridiculous amount of water and I use a vitamin e oil every night. I heard the term, fight oil with oil once and ive never looked back. If you dont put moisture back in your skin after washing, your skin will produce more oil than it should, sometimes causing spots.
Another tip is when changing/creating routine, sometimes skin has to get worse before it gets better, to get all of the spots up and out, so stick to a routine for maybe 3 weeks before changing.
Good luck!
