I've been growing my grey out for about 9 months, and while the colour coming through is in fabulous condition, it's really patchy and contrasts strongly with the rest of my hair, which is mid-brown.
Added to the fact that the last time I dyed it, it was red, so the brown sections are slightly orange-y, and it's not a great look overall, hence the visit to the hairdresser today!
I've booked for a half-head of highlights to try and blend the grey in better and unify the new growth with the ends and I thought I'd ask for a mix of my natural colour, plus one shade darker and lighter. Does that sound like it will work?
My hair is past my shoulders, and although I contemplated just cutting the whole lot off, I don't have the face for it!
