Are these boots nice?

I need a new pair of ankle boots to wear for work with skirts/dresses and opaque tights.

Are the ones in the picture nice?! I like them, I think. But it’s more than I usually spend on shoes so I want to be sure.

Any suggestions of what else I might like? Thanks!

Honestly, no. They look very clumpy and dull. Not leather so sweaty feet. M&S seem to have some quite nice ones this year for less money but nicer.

itbemay · 17/09/2018 17:07

I like them and bought a similar pair from deichman I wear them for work with dress tights and with jeans

SleepFreeZone · 17/09/2018 17:08

I tho k they look fine OP

MoltonSilver · 17/09/2018 17:18

They're ok but they're over priced considering they're synthetic.

kenandbarbie · 17/09/2018 17:24

I don't think they'd go with skirts for work. They're more casual looking like with jeans.

lenalove · 17/09/2018 17:27

Not a fan sorry, bit clumpy and hoof-like

MummyNotMommy · 17/09/2018 17:36

Mixed response then! I hadn’t clicked that they weren’t leather, definitely too much for synthetic.

Any suggestions of a better option? I can’t do much of a heel and my work isn’t super smart, so they don’t need to be very posh.

I had a very similar style last year from Primark and wore them pretty much every day for work. But with trousers. I don't think they are 'dress' boots.

TheFaerieQueene · 17/09/2018 17:44

They don’t do it for me I’m afraid.

OlennasWimple · 17/09/2018 17:45

I don't like them, sorry. They're neither properly chunky nor slim

Hellywelly10 · 17/09/2018 17:47

I like them. But they are overpriced for synthetic shoes.

hannnnnnnxo · 17/09/2018 18:01

I don’t like them, I think they look quite frumpy. They look a bit chunky and off. I like these more (aside from the zip) and this one. Both pairs are a similar heel height but a nicer shape

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 17/09/2018 18:28

Not a fan, sorry, and agree that they are far too expensive for plastic. Have you looked in Clarks or Topshop? They both sometimes do decent Chelsea boots for about that price.

Thinkingofausername1 · 17/09/2018 19:37

They aren't for dresses or skirts but definitely for jeans.

HildaZelda · 17/09/2018 19:44

I think they're a bit frumpy. Sorry.
