I’m standing in a leather shop in Spain - help!!!

A line leather skirt of my dreams - but should I buy Burgundy or black?? Husband helpfully said ‘I like both, you choose, and has gone to wait in a coffee shop while I decide. Help me, wise ones. Tried to take photos, but both have come out looking black.

Burgundy would be more unusual, would it go with cream or pale grey tops?

Do you tend to wear brown or black shoes more often?

Is this for casual or dressy?

Black will go with many more colours than burgundy.

I'd go with black, then you have a versatile piece of clothing in your wardrobe that also happens to be stunning!

I suppose it’s not an option to get both?(I know we’re not all made of money!)

I’ve already promised husband I will cook dinner in our apartment for the next three nights rather than eat out to justify this purchase. Not that he really cares, but trying to show willing! They are reduced from 200 euros to 105 euros and there is one in each colour left in my size. Currently holding them both and trying to avoid the eye of irate woman who is just waiting for me to put them down so she can have them

Get the burgundy. You’ll always be able to find a black leather skirt, but finding a burgundy one in the right shade and shape is as rare as hens teeth.

Burgundy, then you can wear it with black tights and a black top without it looking overly Morticia.

You are a bunch of enablers. it’s too hot to make a strategic decision about what I might wear them with at home, the thought of putting on a cashmere jumper or boots right now makes me want to melt. Argh.

If you can only get one, I'd get the burgundy. From what I can remember, black isn't one of your best colours? In which case, even though it's away from your face, I think burgundy would give you more options.

Another one voting for both! But if you have to choose I'd say burgandy.

The Burgundy is mine! However sales assistant is doing a very good job of trying to convince me that one cannot have too many perfecto items and DH has wandered back into the fray and is saying enabling things as well. Irate woman left in the huff when I took Burgundy to the till so obviously that was the one she wanted as well. I’m going to go and have a coffee and calm down while I think about the black.

FGS! Do not come back from holiday with only one perfect A-line leather skirt. You will regret it always and your memories of your holiday will always be tainted. Your DH is saying enabling things DO IT!!!!!
