Wool/ Cashmere coat of decent quality

I want to invest in a good coat either wool or cashmere. Not inspired by spate of threads on here regarding style and quality - honest

I can't afford Max Mara, Burberry's or Joseph but love the look and feel of these. On the other hand I am willing to go a bit more expensive than Ted Baker, Hobbs and Jigsaw. Are there any decent clothing companies that fall between the 2 of these. A while ago on here we used to oooh and ahh over Emilia Foxes coats on Silent Witness. What brands were these? I want to buy very nice coat, but still everyday wear.

I am thinking that instead of buying loads more jumpers, cardigans etc. this year I am just going to buy myself a good coat and wear what I have already got underneath.

Is Jaeger only online now? We had a massive shop in our home town but it is closed down.

I think there are a few shops left and John Lewis still stocks some of it.

Alas the outlet online has gone - which was fantastic for bargains.

Did't some company or other buy out Jaeger?

I used to buy all my coats from the Jaeger outlet too. So I’m sad to see it go. Max & co do some good coats. I bought a couple last year from Brand alley. There were also lots on the online uk site post Christmas. Tk Maxx is worth looking at as well. They have Jaeger camel coats and Karen Millen in at the moment.
I still mourn the fact I can’t afford Maxmara any more.

Heads up - the TkMaxx ones are the cheaper wool /poly blends.

Jaeger outlet still exists in out of town outlet malls like MacArthur Glen if you have one near? I go sometimes and they have amazing bargains

Uniqlo have lovely classic wool-cashmere coats.
