Lounge Wear: I'd like some comfy yet stylish stuff

For my birthday this year I've decided to ask for some lounge wear. I've developed a bit of a habit of putting my pj's on as soon as I get home from work. I feel comfy and cosy but live in dread incase someone unexpected comes to the door. I'd like some stylish yet warm and cosy lounge wear that doesn't look like I'm just on my way to bed.
Last year I wore my pink fluffy onesie from M&S and despite the fact that my husband didn't actually say anything the look on his face said it all. I'm about 40 years too old for a onesie Grin

So any ideas about where to buy some lovely lounge wear will be greatly appreciated.

Have you looked at The White Company?

Also personally I like Very.co.uk I have a few sets I’ve bought in different colours because I like them so much.

Thanks! I'll have a look at both. I had thought about the White Company but hadn't considered Very so I'll have a browse now Smile

Something like this? www.next.co.uk/xo02028s1 (Hopefully link works)

The White Company Sale is always fab!

I'm on The White Company site now, too many nice things to buy on there Grin

I like that combo, just not sure I'm able to look after cashmere well, had a few jumper disasters in the past Blush

I resisted Hush harem pants for a long time, thinking they'd be comfortable but would make me look the size of a house - but actually they're surprisingly flattering, with the right tops.

Oly5 · 17/09/2018 16:35

I ignore the white company lounge cashmere (I mean, really) but buy all their stretchy tops, yoga-type pants etc. Crew and Boden also do fabulously cosy hoodies

I have some very comfortable bamboo trousers from Thought. Their tops are lovely and soft too.

Lots of good ideas, I knew I could rely on you all to help Smile

Hush is doing really well this season (and last, if you can find anything in their sale section or on the John Lewis website). Their quality has been a bit low in the last couple of years but I've been impressed with their AW collection.

This is gorgeously soft & cosy . I know stars are somewhat ubiquitous but I love this. It's charcoal rather than black.

Gorgeous colour and the sleeves are close fit so there's no risk of soggy wrists in the washing up!

Love this look too

I've had a couple of things from Gap Body - the sort of yoga wear type stuff. I'm also a sucker for long cardigan at home during the winter. Long sleeve white T-shirt, long cardigan, yoga or harem trousers. Comfy and slouchy, but I wouldn't actually go to bed in it so I feel presentable! Grin

TwinkleMerrick · 17/09/2018 20:37

A in have some lovely lounge wear and it's very reasonably priced . I've put it on my xmas list Grin

HenryInTheTunnel · 17/09/2018 20:50

I like black leggings with a long, loose black or white vest and a long cardigan over the top. A cosy scarf is nice as well. If you keep to a black/white/beige colour scheme then you can mix and match.

DurhamDurham · 17/09/2018 20:59

Going to take your ideas and go shopping this weekend, I'll be much better dressed this winter Grin

Just to say I have the Next jumper linked by @TheGateauIsInTheChateau bought last winter. Ill admit that I have worn it a lot, but, it has bobbled quite badly. It's also the wrong shape if you have wide hips/thighs.

Oly5 · 18/09/2018 11:09

Oh yes, I’ll second Gap body. Fairly cheap and lasts well
